STATUTORY COMPLIANCE
Legionella
Legionella is the bacteria that causes Legionnaire’s Disease. This bacteria can be present in water between 20 and 45°C. Legionells can grow anywhere where water is present but is most often found on sink taps or in dirty, stagnant water.
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) requires all businesses to complete a legionella risk assessment and to regularly check water temperatures.
Legionnaire’s disease can be fatal, so it is vital that regular checks are conducted and monitored to reduce the risk of harming customers and potential liabilities or even prosecution if an outbreak occurred.
Logit makes it easy for your team to perform Legionella checks:
- Quickly capture and record data from all your water sources.
- Automatically prompt staff and escalate to management if water temperature is within the 20-45°C danger zone.
- Attach documents and videos to ensure teams know how to perform checks and keep compliant.
Quickly upload photos or comments from any device to keep teams aware and up to date.
